National Captivating Pageants 2019 Recap
I won! I am your National Miss Captivating 2020! I am so honored to be representing this amazing system for the next year as a national titleholder! It is a bittersweet time as this will be my last title as a Miss, but I am glad it happened when it did! I wanted to give a recap of my experience during the pageant weekend. Bear with me lol this will be a long one, but I wanted to celebrate an achievement that I worked very hard for.
The crowning moment is the most surreal moment and you can tell by my facial expressions that I was excited.
Well many reasons. For one, every year all of the contestants are so nice to each other. It feels like a family. We support each other, encourage each other, help each other, and it is all genuine. Second, there is an entire weekend of festivities. Friday night we attended the Captivator awards and had food, fun and danced. This is a great way to kick off pageant weekend.
Again all of the contestants are so nice to one another. We took this picture during orientation on Saturday.
More contestants on our way to orientation
Lots of GIFTS! I can’t tell you how many gifts I walked away with and this was not just because I won. As a contestant, you are given an official Captivating T-shirt and there is also a contestant gift exchange where you get 4 gifts that other people bring that represents their hometown or where they live. These were the gifts I made. Boston themed baskets. They were a hit!
My wardrobe was great thanks to my coach Rian Valentine! She helped me craft outfits that would look great on my on stage and I think she was spot on! From interview to evening gown, I loved them all! Thank you to Henri’s Cloud Nine as well!
One thing that I am grateful for is the group of women who were crowned with me. We are forming a bond as sister queens and I look forward to us developing our relationship.
This was taken after crowning and pictures and one of my bags was missing with my cellphone in it, but I got it back later that night lol
I had an awesome hair and makeup team! Thank you to Shaylyn Ford and Liz Everett for slaying my hair and makeup! I never felt better on that stage and received so many compliments!
We had a great group of judges! They made everyone feel so comfortable when we walked in the interview room and they were smiling at me every time I walked out on stage. I am appreciative that they had faith in me to be the Miss representative for Captivating!
Hi Mom and Dad I won! Lol at this point I made eye contact with my parents!
Another perk of being a Captivating queen is that our director Rick Martinez is also a professional photographer so we have the chance to get great pictures during our reign. He is also a pretty fun person to be around too!
Also, the crown and sash are pretty amazing too! We were also gifted crown cases to carry them in.
If you compete, this is how your headshot gets released right before the pageant!
